United Nations asks governments to stop sex assignments without consent

Excerpt: Taking up articles one to four of the Convention, Experts raised a number of questions and issues. One Expert said that, as was said during the country representation, shadow reports were important. But the Committee had received a lot of reports stemming from intersexual women organizations and it seemed that they had not received any responses by the Government, why was it so? Regarding the issues of intersexuality and transsexuality, these needed further attention from the German Government. Persons with intersex conditions should not be forced into a category, without prior informed consent.
